Fit the editor toolbar on a narrow canvas column

The centre tool pill used to reserve a fixed width and leave almost nothing when the canvas column was narrow. The groups now fall into a row — undo and redo on the left, help on the right — and the pill takes the gap between them, scrolling only when it runs out of room.
